Today, I’m happy to host my RRBC sister, Kim Cox, with her latest release, Before We Wed. She’s brought along a great post, pics of her pups (I’m such a sap for animals) and a fun surprise freebie. This is Kim’s first appearance on my blog so I hope you’ll make her (and her pooches) feel welcome!
Times a Tickin’ . . .
Hello from Asheville, NC!
My three dogs love to run around and act crazy, playing and tackling each other. They are truly my best friends. We have two West Highland White Terriers (Westies), named Scooter and Harley, and one gray and white Yorkie mix, named Candi. I found the Westies for my husband who is a stay-at-home husband and chainsaw artist. Now he has a Harley and a Scooter. He really loves that little joke. Candi, we inherited from my mother-in-law. She’s the sweetest of all.
In All This Time, Jenny has Angel, a five-year-old basset hound. We used to have a sweet little dog with that name. I still miss that little pup. She belonged to my brother-in-law but lived with us for about five years.
See the little innocents (yeah, right) below:

It’s so hard to get them all to look at me at the same time.
So, I guess by now you’re wondering about the heading line, Times a tickin’ – That’s the clock ticking for the 48-hour special I have for you. And here it is . . .
All This Time will be FREE for the next 48 hours only to those who have the password. That’s right! I’ve put a bonus link at the end of Before We Wed—my newest release.

All This Time (Book 1) Style & Profile series

I have a cat, but I still love dogs and those three of Kim’s look highly hug-able 🙂

I love kittens and some cats. I’ve had two that I loved to pieces, one not too many years ago, Chelsea. The first pet I’ve had that liked me better than my husband. Except sometimes I have to go out of town for work. I left for 3 days and Chelsea wouldn’t have anything to do with me after I returned. Cats hold a grudge longer than dogs. The only other pet that liked me best was the pup named Angel that I mentioned above.

Kim, cats definitely hold a grudge. One of my previous cats, McDoogal, was always “standoffish” when my husband and I came back from a trip. It would always take him a while to warm up to us again, but when he did he was very clingy. The jury is still out on my present cat, Raven, as we’ve only taken one trip so far.

Chelsea would chase the neighbors’ dogs out of the yard. I’m talking Labrador Retrievers. She got along with our dog–a very passive Sharpei mix, Lucky.

Thanks, DL! They are a handful. I found the first Westie for me, but as it turns out women love them because they’re so adorable but they love men best. My husband I can come in the house with me in front of him and they will run around me to get to my husband.
I hope you enjoy the book. The new one is a bit more steamy than what I normally write.

Congratulations, Kim! I so loved visiting Mae’s site today and learning more about you. The pups are adorable!! You have your hands full, for sure. 🙂

Thanks, Gwen! Hands full for sure but they’re so smart too. Lee can tell Scooter to go get Harley who may be outside barking. And he’ll go get her bring her back. He asks Harley what does a Harley sound like when you crank it up. She make this little part growl part howling sound. All three can sit, bow, roll over, shake, etc. on command

What cute pups! I’m more of a cat person, but I appreciate fuzzy companions (I am partial to larger dogs, tho’. My brother had a Great Dane who was a sweetheart!). Good luck with the books, Kim!

Wow, a Great Dane? That is a big “pup” Julie! A neighbor of ours down the street has one, and their kids often take him for a walk. I frequently wonder who is walking who! 🙂
